Barry Power (b.1981, Ireland) is a composer with a lifelong passion for music, film and all areas of the visual medium. A songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, he creates music which is ethereal, autumnal, dynamic and melodic. Informed by influences such as Jerry Goldsmith, Hans Zimmer, Jòhann Jòhannson, Radiohead and Brad Mehldau, he strives to provide excellence and emotional understanding in the composition and production of music to accompany the visual medium.
With over 20 years of experience as a professional musician he has worked as a performer, session guitarist, music teacher and workshop facilitator. Currently studying for a Masters in composing for film he also hosts a podcast about creativity, artistic flow and process. He has a love of film, tv video games and books which he shares with his wife and three children who inspire his work, art and creativity everyday.
